I have been contacted by several ladies who have difficulty arranging company for outings. Some are fairly new to boating and would be glad to go on the water with more experienced members to gain confidence, some just want the opportunity for a more sociable outing.
I propose setting up a Ladies Paddle Group. If you are interested please email me at [email protected] Thereafter you will be able to contact all or any of the group to arrange time together to paddle or row (or even sail). You would need to be appropriately signed off for the boat you choose. I think this will be especially useful during the autumn/winter months as chance meetings are less likely. Thanks Bev

Tuesdays 19:30 To keep our fleet running, there are a host of jobs to do over this winter such as checking boats and kayaks, preparation, varnishing and painting, trailer maintenance etc.
We will start by setting up one of our antique boats, " Linnet " a cock-n-hen, she will require a good rub down inside and will require a new hanging nee on the port side of the cocks seat to be made and fitted. If it is practical we will also set up one of the sliding seat skiffs and start to strip it down for a complete rub down, varnish inside hull and paint outside hull. please come and help whenever you can Thanks Bill [email protected] |
