While not in a position to provide formal instruction on the various styles boating, we can give you some basic tuition to get you afloat in either rowing boats, kayaks and paddle boards or you can go out sailing initially as crew in our sailing boats. Once you can demonstrate basic competency with particular boats you are “signed-off” for those boats and can then use them without supervision. We do not require formal boating qualifications but professional lessons are available from Woodmill Activity Centre (just upstream) for Kayaking or SWAC (down by the Itchen Bridge) for sailing.
Canoe, Kayak, Row, Sail, Paddleboard, Cruise or Motor
However you want to get on the water, you are welcome at St Denys Boat Club.
