Safety Management
This page describes the safety management approach used for events at St Denys Boat Club
• Safety is a shared responsibility between the club, organisers, and participants.
• Applies to all on-water activities: sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, rowing, motor use, and cruising.
• Activities can be supervised, skippered, or self-led.
• Participants must understand risks, use appropriate saftey equipment, and follow guidance.
• Skippers and Leaders are responsable for ongoing risk assesment during any activity on the water
• Incidents and near misses must be reported to improve safety practices.
St Denys Boat Club provides a framework but ultimate responsibility afloat rests with the Skipper, Leader or Partispant.
